Carnival Cruise Line makes a boarding policy very clear

by BD Banks

Remember when finding a place to print your boarding pass before a flight was very important? Many hotels offered printers just for the purpose because not having a printed boarding pass meant having to wait in line at the airport in order to print one.

A printed boarding pass has not been required for air travel for many years, but that does not stop some passengers from opting to have one. That could be because some people are uncomfortable using airline apps while others worry about internet connectivity.

Cruise lines have varying policies on printed versus digital. Royal Caribbean encourages digital but allows printed. Carnival Cruise Line has a different policy and Brand Ambassador John Heald recently answered an important question about printing your boarding pass.

Carnival Cruise Line shares its boarding rules

Heald answers hundreds of questions each day. Many of them are very specific to the person asking, but this question addresses something a lot of passengers need to know.

“Good morning, someone in the cruise group I’m in is traveling from out of town and said they forgot to print their boarding passes. And they are not staying at a hotel with a printer. If somebody forgets their boarding passes is there a way to print at the port?” shared Megan Elle.

“They thought they would be able to use the boarding pass on their phone but everyone in the group is saying it has to be printed. (I personally always print mine) Asking for them because I don’t think they’ve been following the page for 24 hours. Thank you,” she wrote.

Carnival, he shared, takes both versions.

“Thank you, well yes they can use the one on their phone, but if that is a problem for the invocation staff, for whatever reason they will print out a boarding pass there, and then so please don’t worry, this will all be taken care of. I wish everybody a fabulous time together and I will be here if you need me,” he wrote.
