The highest-paid Dodger is Shohei Ohtani. In 2023, he signed a 10-year contract valued at $700 million, a record amount for a baseball player. Most of that money will be in deferred payment, but his average salary this year comes out to $70 million.
The second-highest-paid player is shortstop Mookie Betts, who will be paid $30 million this year. In 2020, he signed a 12-year, $365 million contract. Freddie Freeman, the first baseman, is paid $27 million this year, part of a 6-year, $162 million contract signed in 2022.
